Vote November 3rd for Lawrenceville City Council
Prepared To Serve
Accountability - Transparency - Communication - Innovation

PREPARED TO SERVE THE CITIZENS
OF LAWRENCEVILLE AS YOUR
COUNCIL MEMBER…
Our Neighborhoods Need A Voice
I hear
your concerns; I have the same concerns. Those
concerns are not currently being heard by city hall.
We cannot wait any longer. I will be your strong
voice of advocacy for our neighborhoods.
Have you had your property appraised?
The market value of our homes are in a decline.
Too many of our great neighbors are leaving.
All of the funding news out of city hall is the
construction of parks, corridors and a humongous
police station. That may be okay if we did not
need the money in our neighborhoods. We
cannot wait any longer. I will be your strong
voice for revitalizing and preserving our
neighborhoods.
Funding of streets, curbs and infrastructure
in our neighborhoods
I will be against funding of
any new projects, regardless of the funding source,
until the resurfacing of streets, installation and/or
repair of curbs and infrastructure in our neighborhoods
have been completed.
Public Safety and Quality of Life in our
Neighborhoods
You will hear otherwise from
City Hall, but there is not enough attention and funding
from City Hall for adequate police patrol for purposes
of safety to life and property, crime prevention and
enforcement of city codes for a better quality of
life. That will be my top priority.
An Advocate for better schools and superior
Education
We should have fought hard to prevent the
Gwinnett Board of Education from leaving our town.
After all, Lawrenceville is the county seat of
Gwinnett County. Now, we must fight hard to have
the best schools where our students get superior
education. We need a constant voice from City Hall
to the Gwinnett Board of Education that we expect and
demand excellence. Guess what, our town will become
the preferred place to live and property values will
increase. I will be that constant voice on the city council.
We need conservative, austere and prudent spending
at City Hall
We are in very serious economic times. Any
observer of the City Council will tell you that they are spending
money like a “drunken sailor”. As a veteran of the United
States Army, I apologize to drunken sailors for that comparison.
Seriously, we have got to establish sound fiscal budgetary
and financial policies. Once I heard that the council debated for an extraordinary amount of time on
an agenda item that cost a small amount, relative to the next item,
the annual budget. The council approved the city budget without
discussion.
